Graham Farish N Scale Model Trains
Graham Farish is originally a UK based model train maker. Originally, the company was mainly a manufacturer of radio parts. They entered the model scale industry during the 40s by offering different model trains with OO scale. Although this had generated a good following, Graham Farish established their name in this industry by introducing N scale model trains. The reason for new scales is due to decreasing demand of OO scales and the increasing cost of production. In 1980, Graham Farish completely disregarded their OO scales and concentrated on their N scale model. The company was eventually acquired by Kader in 2001 and was integrated with Bachmann industries.
There are two types of N scale model trains today. The pre-Bachmann type of N scales models and the post-Bachmann models. Hobbyists who are looking for to collect accurate British model trains should look for pre-Bachmann model trains while the post-Bachmann appeal to hobbyists who are looking for fully functional and robust model trains. Although at first look the difference is indistinguishable, a close examination will reveal the difference of these two types of N scale model trains. Post-Bachmann model trains have white stickers at the end of the box. The original Graham Farish N scale model trains features yellow stickers.
