Micro-Trains Line N Scale Model Trains

Micro-Trains were established by Keith Edwards and his twin brother, Dale. The brothers were selling Micro-Trains under the company name of Kadee. The company started in 1940 and their production concentrated solely in coupling for the HO scale. It became a hit among hobbyists that they opted to patent the design, known today as Magne-matic coupler. The popularity of the N scale model during the 60s prompted the company to develop couplers for the same scale model. It was only in 1972 that Micro-Trains became an independent company, and eventually produced freight cars. The company started by releasing N scale models but seeing the niche in smaller model trains, Micro-Trains produced Z scale model trains (1:220).

The expertise of Micro-Trains in terms of building small scale trains is undeniable. The variety of Micro-Trains N scale model designs is impressive that most popular and classic model trains in North America have a scale model. The intricate design of their N scale model trains are very remarkable as well as the accessories that comes with the design. The experience of Micro-Trains in building miniature yet durable designs from the year it was established is still seen in modern designs of the company’s N scale model trains.
